The Red Sox and the Twins, after postponing their game scheduled for Monday, are facing off in a doubleheader here on Wednesday. Aside from being seven inning games (gross), teams also get an extra player for days in which they play two games. This has been a rule for a few years now. Oftentimes an extra starter will be called up, but since the Red Sox don’t need that — both Nathan Eovaldi and Eduardo Rodriguez are ready to roll today — they’re going to the bullpen. And specifically, it’s Eduard Bazardo getting the call.
