One of the biggest questions for the Red Sox as we look ahead to the long road ahead in 2019 is what exactly they’ll be able to get out of Dustin Pedroia. The veteran second baseman is looking for a comeback this season after his 2017 was shortened and he missed basically all of 2018. The best-case scenario was something like a full season, though presumably with more scheduled days off than we’ve grown accustomed to over his career. Well, the best-case scenario is out the window. On Monday Alex Cora made the announcement that Pedroia would start the 2019 season on the Injured List.
