After resuming baseball activity yesterday, Dustin Pedroia was back at it today. He remains on track to come off the disabled list as soon as possible, which would be Friday’s game in Boston.
“He was going to continue to swing a bat in the cage,” manager John Farrell said. “But yesterday too he took ground balls on the field. I would hope that Tuesday in New York there would be the start of some BP, but that will be dependent upon what takes places here in the next 24 hours with him. But really encouraging what’s taken place the past couple of days.
