FORT MYERS — They say the results in spring training are never a concern. Unless they're good. Then they're great to talk about.
There was a lot of hard contact off Drew Pomeranz on Tuesday, including a Melvin Upton home run in the first of Pomeranz's two innings against the Blue Jays at JetBlue Park.
But the Sox lefthanded starter was making just his first Grapefruit League appearance, so he has some catching up to do.
"Pretty much fastball, curve — sticking to those two," said Pomeranz, who allowed two runs on two hits with no walks or strikeouts.
