Dombrowski gets up close and personal with Red Sox

About 20 minutes after the Red Sox had just completed a 10-1 win over the Orioles on Wednesday night, president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski was walking through the clubhouse in a red-striped polo shirt, dark slacks and dress shoes.

Many of the Red Sox players were just getting out of the shower and some were still changing at their lockers when a smiling Dombrowski approached, shook their hands or gave them pats on their backs and said things like, “Nice job out there,” and, “great win.”

He congratulated Allen Craig, who recorded his first big league extra-base hit in exactly one year, then shook the hand of Deven Marrero, who collected his first career three-hit game.
