Over the last few weeks, there have been more than just a few rumblings about the very real possibility that Major League Baseball decides to add the designated hitter to the National League.
Monday evening, Major League Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred told ESPN.com that the DH was not likely to be made a part of National League Baseball anytime too soon.
"The most likely result on the designated hitter for the foreseeable future is the status quo," Manfred said.
As a long time baseball fan, this decision is one that makes sense to me.
