David Price's rehab stays on track with first simulated game

Today's official first pitch was more than three hours away, but David Price’s simulated game was pretty much a must-see event. Facing Chris Young, Josh Rutledge and Chase d’Arnaud, Price threw 30 pitches across two simulated innings, retreating to dugout in between frames. It was his first time facing hitters since his spring training elbow injury.

“It was a quality workday for him,” manager John Farrell said. “Accomplished what the plan was and that was for two simulated innings after he warmed up.
