One night after he left his start in the second inning due to numbness in his throwing hand, David Price was back on the field playing long toss.
Price, who said he’s experienced a similar sensation in the past and it hasn’t been a long-lasting problem, played catch on Thursday and the Red Sox are still hoping he can make his next scheduled start on Monday.
“He feels good,” manager Alex Cora said. “The next step for us, we’re going to sit down after batting practice and map it out. There’s a chance that he will start on Monday but we will have to make a decision.
