PAWTUCKET, R.I. -- It did not take long to come to the conclusion that David Price didn't have it tonight in his second rehab start with the Pawtucket Red Sox.
On his second pitch, Phil Ervin of the Louisville Bats pulled a ground-rule double down the left-field line. Price, working his way back from a left forearm strain suffered in spring training, saw his velocity sit around 95 miles per hour and touch as high as 96. But he allowed two more hits in the frame, including another double, and threw a wild pitch with the bases loaded where he lackadaisically dropped the throw home to allow a run.
