HOUSTON — For all the baserunners David Price put on last night — 14 in all in only five innings, he took some solace in the fact that because he only allowed three runs, that meant he was able to come up with a quality pitch when he needed to.
But all those baserunners — that meant more than a few pitches were not so quality, and that did not make him too happy.
“Working on pitching with runners in scoring position, that’s the way it feels every game, every inning,” said Price after picking up the win in a thrilling 6-5 Red Sox victory against the Houston Astros.
