KANSAS CITY -- David Ortiz is sick of hearing everyone else's opinion about why he's only hitting .231 with nine homers this season.
After two outside pitches to Ortiz were called strikes in the seventh inning of the Sox’ 7-4 loss to the Royals, Ortiz got into it with home plate umpire Bruce Dreckman. He singled in the at-bat, made it to first base and was then ejected for complaining about the calls.
After the game, Ortiz spoke his mind.
“I mean man this [expletive] game has changed so much,” he said. “Nothing is new to me, you know what I’m saying?
