As we discussed in the Links over the weekend, the Red Sox owners may be selling a minority stake in their FSG group that also owns Liverpool as well as other sports properties. Billy Beane is part of the group that could be buying the minority stake, and if the deal goes through he will indeed be leaving the A’s, but to focus on soccer.
