ATLANTA — There’s a reason I’ve waited to address the Craig Kimbrel issue. It’s because I’ve gone back and forth, and I hate being a fence-straddler. (As faithful readers know, I’d rather be wrong — and often am — than uncertain.) But the notion of the great reliever returning to the Atlanta Braves has left me in a pickle.
Like a high school debater, I’m prepared to argue both sides. That’s fine in a debate, where you only present one side to a judge. It can be less effective if you offer both the affirmative and negative in the same space, which — apologies in advance — I’m about to do.
