The Red Sox began the season with just one of the team’s three big-name prospects on the big league roster, but Boston’s Chief Baseball Officer is confident that the trio will play a big role over the long term.
Red Sox executive Craig Breslow, speaking in an MLB Network interview over the weekend, was asked about the current situation with Kristian Campbell, Marcelo Mayer, and Roman Anthony. The group represent one of the more hyped prospect classes that the Red Sox have had in many years.
“All three of them are incredibly talented young players who we’re excited about having in the organization, and all players have opportunities to develop,” Breslow explained.
