BOSTON -- Every player who occupies the home clubhouse at Fenway Park has a black leather office chair, with a Boston Red Sox logo, in front of his locker. But only one has his nickname and jersey number -- "BUCK, 11" -- monogrammed on his seat.
Consider it a reminder of Clay Buchholz's longevity.
Buchholz is the longest-tenured Red Sox pitcher, a status that did not come easily and should not be taken lightly. He was demoted to Double-A in 2008, one year after his major league debut and a no-hitter in his second career start.
