The story of how Michael Shuster became involved in the life and times of Alex Rodriguez begins on Friday afternoon, when he was listening to the “Felger & Mazz” program on 98.5 The Sports Hub.
“This is really awesome,” Shuster was saying yesterday by telephone from his home in Warwick, R.I. “I get out of work and I’m listening to the conversation and they were saying A-Rod is going to be in town, and if he hits that home run what’s going to happen.”
“That home run,” of course, being the 660th in the career of the controversial Yankees slugger, would tie him with Willie Mays for fourth place on the all-time list.
