ANAHEIM -- Left-hander Wade Miley will lead the Red Sox out of the break when they play the Angels tonight. Miley will be followed by Rick Porcello and Eduardo Rodriguez, who will get some extra rest while the Sox carefully monitor his innings limit.
The 22-year-old has already thrown 101 innings between the minors and majors this year after throwing 120 innings last year.
Left-hander Brian Johnson will make his first career start either Monday or Tuesday, manager John Farrell said. He wasn’t ready to announce who the fifth starter in the rotation will be, but Justin Masterson is not expected to be a candidate.
