PHILADELPHIA -- Another Red Sox starter is hurt.
Brian Johnson, starting in place of injured lefty Eduardo Rodriguez on Wednesday, received a visit from the trainer in the third inning and then walked off the mound and into the locker room.
The Red Sox are calling the injury left shoulder discomfort.
Johnson had allowed three runs in 2-u2154 innings before exiting.
He had hurt his hamstring during a start with Triple-A Pawtucket on June 3 but was deemed healthy enough to join the Red Sox rotation after Rodriguez went down with a knee injury.
Hector Velazquez, who was recalled from Pawtucket before the game, replaced Johnson and induced a groundball to end the inning.
