TORONTO -- Mookie Betts gave himself a good workout in the early innings on Thursday night at Rogers Centre.
The All-Star right fielder belted the third pitch of the game from Jays rookie lefty Ryan Borucki into left field for a single to spark a two-run inning.
In the second, Betts hammered a two-out triple -- his fifth of the season.
Betts took his third at-bat in the fourth and again pulled the ball, this time for a two-out double.
With at least a couple of at-bats remaining, Betts needed a home run for his first career cycle.
