A.L. Cy Young winner Rick Porcello and A.L. MVP runner-up Mookie Betts were named winners of prestigious 2016 Legacy Awards, handed out by the Negro Leagues Museum in Kansas City, Missouri.
Betts was named the winner of the Oscar Charleston Award for AL MVP, while Porcello is the winner of the Wilbur "Bullet" Rogan Award as the AL pitcher of the year.
The two Red Sox will receive their awards this year, quite likely in June when the Red Sox play the Royals in the Heart of America.
Kris Bryant of the Cubs won the NL Charleston award, while Washington's Max Scherzer won the NL's Rogan.
