BOSTON -- Andrew Benintendi created euphoria at Fenway Park when he bounced a walk-off single up the middle to score pinch-runner Tony Renda, giving the Red Sox an unlikely 5-4, 10-inning win as the capper to a four-game sweep of the Yankees on Sunday.
The 79-34 Sox came back from three runs down in the ninth to tie it, and then put the dagger to the Yankees in the 10th to open up a whopping 9 1/2-game lead in the American League East.
BOSTON -- Aaron Boone couldn't have set it up any better.
