Roman Anthony’s stock just keeps continuing to soar this summer.
The Red Sox’ blue-chip prospect received high marks in Baseball America’s latest update to the publication’s Top 100 prospects list on Tuesday — with the 20-year-old outfielder now tabbed as the No. 2 prospect in all of baseball.
It’s a sizable jump for Anthony, who was ranked No. 18 overall in Baseball America’s previous list from earlier this summer.
After slashing .269/.367/.489 line with 15 home runs, 38 extra-base hits, and 16 steals over 84 contests with Double-A Portland, Anthony was called up to Triple-A Worcester along with Marcelo Mayer and Kyle Teel on Aug.
