At last, Eduardo Rodriguez lends a hand to Red Sox's starting rotation

NEW YORK -- Maybe the Boston Red Sox's chances of making the playoffs really are in Eduardo Rodriguez's hands.

Two hours before Saturday's game here against the New York Yankees, Red Sox manager John Farrell told the media to watch those hands, specifically their placement when Rodriguez comes set in his delivery. For the past two weeks, the 23-year-old lefty had been back in Triple-A, away from the cameras and the glare of the big leagues, trying to fix a mechanical flaw that might have been revealing what pitch he was about to throw.
