PHOENIX — Nolan Arenado makes many more highlight-reel plays than miscues. A two-error game for the two-time Gold Glove winner only happened once in his career.
Until Thursday night.
One of those errors cost the Colorado Rockies dearly in an 8-1 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks.
David Peralta had a tiebreaking, two-run triple with two outs in the sixth after A.J. Pollock led off the innning with a home run against Rockies starter Chris Rusin. Arenado's first error, a bobbled bouncer, prolonged the inning before Peralta sent a hard grounder down the right field line to drive in Welington Castillo and Aaron Hill.
