NEW YORK -- Right in the middle of Game 4 of the World Series, in front of a wild and raucous sell-out crowd at Citi Field, Alex Rios lost focus.
The Kansas City Royals’ right fielder made a critical mistake in the third inning of Saturday night’s game when he clearly lost track of the outs on a fly ball hit his way.
With New York Mets shortstop Wilmer Flores standing on third base and only one out, Rios stood flat-footed as he caught a lazy pop-up in right field, then began to jog in toward the dugout.
