FORT MYERS -- With 10 days until the Red Sox’ season opener, manager Alex Cora has a good idea how he’ll split playing time between Hanley Ramirez, Mitch Moreland, J.D. Martinez and the three starting outfielders.
And while Cora didn’t specifically say who would start at first base on Opening Day or how many times a week Martinez would play the outfield, the skipper has dropped hints through his starting lineups and via his comments on Monday morning.
Ramirez has been Cora’s three-hitter for most of the spring, and he was hitting third while playing first base again for the Sox’ home game against the Philadelphia Phillies on Monday afternoon.
