City officials said Monday morning that only one arrest was made overnight in connection to fans celebrating the Red Sox winning the 2018 World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
“Last night we pretty much had a great celebration in the City of Boston; however, we did have one arrest, a destruction of property arrest,” Mayor Marty Walsh said during a press conference on the planned duck boat victory parade. “Other than that we had a great night of celebration in the City of Boston.”
Police said the individual, 22-year-old Shawn Lindsay of Connecticut, was arrested and charged with malicious destruction of property after officers observed him around 12:15 a.
