Ten Boston firefighters, thanks to a gift from UFC champion Conor McGregor, will get to attend Game 1 of the World Series for free.
McGregor, according to a report from TMZ Sports, personally delivered the tickets to the Back Bay station, where he met the group of firefighters, took pictures, and even slid down the pole.
TMZ said McGregor wanted to do something special to show his appreciation. Additionally, his Proper No. Twelve whiskey will donate $5 to first responders for every case sold – up to $1 million a year.
He shared some of that signature whiskey with the group of firefighters, and they also reportedly toasted to the Red Sox winning the World Series.
