Boston Red Sox center field Mookie Betts, who is currently on Major League Baseball's seven-day concussion disabled list, was evaluated in Pittsburgh today by concussion specialist Dr. Micky Collins.
"As far as I know, the report was good," Boston Red Sox GM Ben Cherington said, via Mass Live. "He's passing the tests that he needs to pass. Hopefully, maybe, he'll rejoin the team in Detroit and then hopefully, be much closer to baseball activity."
Betts' headache went away over the weekend, but his agent wanted to make sure his client was okay with a precautionary visit with Collins.
Betts, 22, is posting a ,265/.317/.438 slash line with 10 home runs and 48 RBI this season.
