Cuban teenager Yoan Moncada will arrive to the United States as one of the most hyped exports in the country's baseball history, and the young middle infielder/center fielder is already drawing major interest from several MLB teams, including the Boston Red Sox.
According to Kiley McDaniel of FanGraphs, the Red Sox and New York Yankees are currently outdistancing the field in the race to land the talented youngster:
Yes. NYY & BOS are the heavy favorites. RT @NorbertoPaulino Have you heard anything on if the Red Sox are indeed in on Moncada?

Baseball America's Ben Badler said recently that Moncada would be the #1 pick in the 2015 MLB Draft if he were he eligible to be drafted. Furthermore, Badler has projected Moncada's ceiling to be higher than that of fellow Cuban players Rusney Castillo and Yasmany Tomas. Heavily sought after in their own right, Castillo and Tomas commanded $72 million and $68.5 million respectively.
If the Red Sox do sign Moncada, he will undoubtedly start in the minor leagues and work his way up accordingly to his acclimation level in the team's farm system.
