Hours after announcing that head coach Jim Christian has been relieved of us duties, Boston College men’s basketball is making the news yet again, this time with an announcement that redshirt sophomore Wynston Tabbs will miss the remainder of the season due to a violation of BC’s COVID-19 protocols. This comes after BC missed 4 games in late January due to COVID quarantining within the program. The Eagles have 5 games remaining this season.
It is unclear how Tabbs violated BC’s COVID protocols. However, per Boston College’s COVID-19 rules, students are required to wear face coverings at all times on campus except when inside their rooms or eating (or obviously, for varsity athletes, when playing their sport).
