RALEIGH, N.C. - In the regular season finale against the N.C. State Wolfpack (7-7-2 (1-5-2 ACC), the Eagles (6-6-2 (2-4-2 ACC) fell in sudden-death overtime on a Luke Hille winner in the 108th minute.
The first half went back and forth with the Wolfpack out-shooting the Eagles 6-1 and gaining a 7-0 advantage on corner kicks. Stefan Sigurdarson recorded the lone shot in the first half for the Eagles in the 41st minute, however it sailed wide right.
The Eagles' Brennan Klein kept the score knotted at zero early in the second half when he denied a shot by the Wolfpack's Pablo Pendregosa at the center of the net.
