PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College scored twice in the second and third periods and fended off a furious Eagles' rally to claim a 4-2 win over the No. 5/5 Boston College women's hockey team on Saturday afternoon at Schneider Arena. The loss snapped BC's nation-leading 8-game unbeaten streak. scored twice for the Eagles in the game to reach 50 career goals.
After an even first period that saw both teams fire 11 shots on goal and go 0-for-1 on the power play, BC began the middle frame killing off 47 seconds of a 5-on-3. The Friars were able to capitalize on that advantage, taking just 18 seconds to open the scoring.
