NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – netted his first goal of the season to cut Merrimack's 2-0 lead in half, but the Warriors' two power play goals held up for a 2-1 victory in Boston College's Hockey East opener on Friday night at Lawler Arena.
Craig Pantano stopped 31 of the 32 shots he faced in the MC net for the victory. All three goals in the game were scored on the power play.
Derek Petti followed a rebound off the end glass at 8:19 of the first period to give MC the lead. In the second, Tyler Heidt's center point shot deflected glove side on (30 saves) through traffic to double the advantage.
