LOUISVILLE, Ky. – scored a goal with just over a minute left to lift the No. 7 Boston College field hockey team to a 2-1 victory over No. 11 Northwestern in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
The win gives BC its fourth NCAA Tournament victory and first since 2015.
The Eagles had complete control throughout the first half, out-shooting the Wildcats, 9-4. BC had nothing to show for it, though, until broke free down the right side and received a pass from on her reverse on the run and tucked a low-angle shot into the back of the net to take the lead with 31 seconds remaining in the first half.
