CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. –Boston College women's soccer sophomore Sonia Walk has been named to the Canada Soccer Women's U-20 roster for the 2022 Concacaf Women's Under-20 Championship.
The Concacaf tournament serves as Canada's qualification route for the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup Costa Rica 2022. Walk is one of 20 players named to the squad that, will compete from Feb. 25 to March 12 for one of four berths to the global tournament.
Walk, a Toronto, Ontario native, represented Canada at the 2020 Concacaf U-20 Championships, and was a member of Canada's U-17 team that was a semifinalist at the 2018 Women's World Cup as well as the 2016 U-15 Concacaf Tournament silver medalist team.
