BOSTON – Junior Lexi Borr claimed the Red Singles title at the Harvard Fall Classic on Sunday morning after she posted a 6-1, 6-1 win over Harvard’s Erica Oosterhout in the championship match.
Additionally, Boston College claimed the Singles A doubles title as well, although no formal winner was named. BC sent two entrants to the final – the team of Borr and Jackie Urbinati, as well as the tandem of Katya Vasilyev and Emily Safron. Instead of facing teammates for the title, the Eagles decided not to play the match.
"Lexi is playing at a very high level and had a great tournament,” women’s tennis coach Nigel Bentley said.
