GREENSBORO, N.C. – Boston College football graduate defensive end Marcus Valdez (Perth Amboy, N.J.) was voted ACC Co-Defensive Lineman of the Week, while redshirt-freshman quarterback Emmett Morehead (Woodside, Calif.) earned Rookie of the Week as voted on by members of the media covering week 11 of the college football season.
The weekly ACC award is the first for either play in their career.
Valdez filled up the stat sheet and led the BC defense in a come-from-behind, 21-20 upset at No. 16 NC State. He posted six tackles with a career-high two sacks and three tackles for loss.
