After a topsy turvy year on the Heights, the Boston College Football team finished the season victors.
The Eagles ended a nine year bowl win drought dating back to the 2007 season Monday afternoon, defeating the Maryland Terrapins 36-30 at the Quick Lane Bowl at Ford Field in Detroit.
Patrick Towles threw for 151 yards and two touchdowns on the day, and Jon Hilliman had a breakout day, rushing for 79 yards and one touchdown.
The defensive line was named the game’s MVP’s, netting eight sacks on the day.
The win improves the Eagles’ record to 7-6 on the year.
