CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - In another battle that came down to the wire, the Eagles knocked off No. 2 Syracuse in an 11-10 overtime thriller on Thursday evening in Alumni Stadium.
The Eagles finish the regular season at 13-3 and 7-2 in the ACC, and will head into ACC Championship as the No. 3 seed. BC will face No. 6 seed Duke at 8 p.m. in the quarterfinals in Charlotte on Wednesday.
Big-time plays were made in overtime on both ends of the field. After Shea Dolce made the biggest save of the game to keep the game tied, Cassidy Weeks came through in the clutch for the game winner off a pinpoint pass from Emma LoPinto.
