Last night, the 2018 NWHL All Star Game captains drafted their teams for the upcoming match, which will be played on February 11 in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Amanda Leveille and Brittany Ott were chosen as team captains, and they chose 3 former Eagles to join them at the ASG. Leveille picked defender Lexi Bender and forward Meagan Mangene, while Ott chose fellow Pride teammate Emily Field.
Bender, the only BC defenseman in this year’s All Star Game, is in her second season with the Boston Pride. She has been quiet on offense this year, with only 1 assist over 10 games, but she is a key member of the Pride’s defense.
