CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's hockey team skated to a season-opening 5-1 victory over Stonehill on Saturday night at Bridgewater Ice Arena.
Abby Newhook got the Eagles off and running in the first frame. Keri Clougherty gave BC the lead after Stonehill knotted it up to end the first frame with a 2-1 Eagles advantage. Molly Jordan came out in the middle frame to cushion the lead 3-1. In the final frame, Sammy Taber and Tricia Piku both scored to give the Eagles a 5-1 victory over Stonehill.
