BOSTON – Boston University came back from 3-1 down in the third period and Wilmer Skoog finished a loose puck near the right post at 7:20 of overtime, lifting the Terriers over the fourth-ranked Eagles 5-4 in the first round of the 68th Beanpot Monday night at TD Garden.
The game officially ended in a tie as Boston College moved its record to 16-7-1, while BU advanced to face Northeastern in the Beanpot Championship Game next week at 10-8-7 overall. It was the sixth overtime game in the last nine Beanpot meetings between the two rivals.
