CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College lacrosse senior defender Syndey Scales was named the 2024 ACC Women's Lacrosse Scholar Athlete of the Year and 15 players were named to the All-Academic Team on Wednesday.
Scales is the third BC player to win the ACC Scholar Athlete of the Year, joining Sam Apuzzo (2018, 2019) and Charlotte North (2021, 2022).
The Walpole, Mass. native had a stellar senior campaign, as she was named the IWLCA Defender of the Year and the ACC Defender of the Year for a second straight season. She was also named the ACC Tournament Most Outstanding Player.
