SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico – Boston College sophomore Cameron Swartz scored a career-high 27 points, while sophomore Marnelle Garraud added 15 points, five assists and six steals to lead the Eagles past Tulane, 89-76, in the second game of the Puerto Rico Clasico at the Coliseo Ruben Rodriquez on Thursday afternoon.
The Eagles improved to 5-3 and will next travel to Illinois to play in the Big Ten-ACC Challenge on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at Northwestern.
BC jumped out to a 12-2 lead and never looked back. In the first quarter the backcourt tandem of Swartz and Garraud combined for 17 points and five steals to as BC held a 32-14 lead after one quarter.
