CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College junior outside hitter Jill Strockis (volleyball) and junior golfer Christian Cavaliere have been named Nissan Eagles of the Week following their performances last week.
Strockis was a named the most valuable player of the Grand Canyon University Invitational over the weekend after leading the Eagles with 36 kills total in three matches and recording three straight double-doubles. Strockis, who also had two service aces, hit .330 on the weekend with just seven errors on 88 attempts. In a 3-2 win over Jacksonville State, she tallied 10 kills and 11 digs and in a sweep of Southern Utah, she had a match-high 15 kills and 17 digs.
