In more news that shouldn’t really surprise anyone, Spencer Knight was named a Mike Richter Award finalist this week, an award given to the most outstanding goalie in men’s college hockey. He is joined by Minnesota’s Jack LaFontaine and Minnesota State’s Dryden McKay.
Knight currently has a .933 save percentage and a 2.13 GAA, and has three shutouts this season. He led the Eagles to a 17-5-1 record this season, going 16-3-1 himself. He’s set to make his NCAA tournament debut in the Albany Regional Final on Sunday, after having the Eagles’ first game declared a no contest.
