Chestnut Hill, Mass. - The Boston College softball season has announced that junior Tatiana Cortez will join Megan Cooley and Jessie Daulton as captains for the 2016 season.
Cortez was the spark plug for the Eagles offense in 2015, finishing second on the team in batting average (.301) while leading the team in both home runs (10) and RBIs (39). The Houston, Texas, native has 21 home runs and 88 RBIs in her career.
Starting in all 51 games last season, Cooley hit .278 with two home runs and 15 RBIs while leading the team in runs scored (36) and triples (3).
