PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Boston College women's hockey team came out swinging a a 5-1 victory over Providence.
The Eagles opened up the scoring 14 minutes into the first period with a goal from Sammy Smigliani her sixth of the season. After Smigliani's goal, the Eagles did not let off the gas. Caroline Goffredo and Gaby Roy both chipped in goals in the second period.
Heading into the third period, Boston College led by three. Smigliani and Goffredo found the back of the net to make it 5-0 nine minutes into the final period.
