TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – A 10-run bottom of the sixth inning was the undoing for No. 24 Boston College baseball in a 19-8 loss at No. 21 Florida State on Friday evening from Dick Howser Stadium. The loss dropped the Eagles to 12-3 overall and 2-2 in the ACC, while the Seminoles improved to 12-6 and 3-1.
BC tied the game 6-6 in the top of the sixth on a RBI-single by junior right fielder Travis Honeyman (Massapequa, N.Y.). FSU responded by plating the first 10 batters in the home half, including a grand slam by designated hitter Ben Barrett; his second home run of the game.
